2. The Old Testament prophetically declared what Jesus would do through the work of the cross, providing salvation or healing for our spirit, soul, and body:

“Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses and diseases) and carried our sorrows (pains). Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him. And by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5)

3. Jesus Christ fulfilled Isaiah’s prophecy during His earthly ministry, demonstrating God’s first redemptive name as Jehovah Rapha, the Great Physician. (Exodus 15:26)

“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: ‘He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.’” (Matthew 8:16-17)

4. Jesus remains the same to this day. He delegated His authority to His followers (Mark 16:17-18), empowered them to do the same works that He did (John 14:12-14) and commanded us to heal the sick (Matthew 10:8). On this biblical foundation, we heal the sick in Jesus’ Name.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

5. Every illness, whether physical, emotional or spiritual can be healed by Jesus’ finished work on the cross.

“He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sickness. (Matthew 8:17)

6. Healing can be an immediate miracle, or a gradual process, but God always hears our prayers.

"And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. (James 5:15)

b. “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. (1 Jn 5:14-15)

7. Jesus anoints us to bring healing into this world just as He did.

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. (1 Jn 4:17)

8. The enemy is the source of all disease; God is not.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (Jn 10:10)

9. The Spirit, Soul and Body are all intertwined, and may all be involved to differing degrees in the healing process.

“And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thess 5:23)

10. Christians can be afflicted but not possessed by demons.

I want to welcome you to read these Healing Scriptures. There is a healing and miracle explosion happening all over the world and that miracle explosion has been initiated by the Word of God. The Word is alive. It is sharper than any two-edged sword. The Word of God is milk for spiritual infants. It is meat for men. It is the light of God in a dark world. It is the power that releases the anointing of the Lord Jesus Christ into your life. The Word of God is the basis of every healing and every miracle. Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent His Word and healed them.” The Bible says, “Have faith in God… Nothing is impossible to those who believe…Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” I want you to read this confession, and I want you to learn to speak it, because in the speaking of the Word of God you release into your life the electrifying power that raised Jesus from the grave.

This is the confession: Father, in the name of Jesus, I confess your Word concerning healing. As I do this, I believe and say that Your Word will not return void, but will accomplish what it says it will. Therefore, I believe in the name of Jesus that I am being healed as I read the Word of God. It is written in your Word that Jesus Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses; therefore, with great boldness and confidence I say on the authority of the written Word of God that I am redeemed from the curse of sickness and I refuse to tolerate its symptoms.

Satan, I speak to you in the name of Jesus and say that your principalities and powers, your spirits of darkness and your spiritual wickedness are bound from operating against me in any way. I am the property of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am a child of God and I give you no place in me. I dwell in the secret place of the Most High God. I abide- I remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty. His power is in me and no foe can withstand me.

Now, Father, because I reverence and worship You, I have the assurance of Your Word that the angel of the Lord encamps round about me and delivers me from every evil work. No evil shall befall me. Neither plague nor calamity shall come near my dwelling. I confess that the Word of God abides in me and produces in me perfect soundness of mind and wholeness in body and spirit, from the deepest parts of my nature in my immortal spirit, even to the joints and marrow of my bones. That the Word of God is medication and life to my flesh, for the law of the spirit of life operates in me and makes me free from the law of sin and death.

I have on the whole armor of God, and the shield of faith protects me from all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Jesus is my High Priest Who hears my confession and I hold fast to this confession of faith through the Word of God. I stand immovable and fixed and in full assurance that I have health and healing in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that my healing has been purchased through the Blood of Jesus Christ and that as I read these Healing Scriptures, the anointing power of the Lord is being released into my life to bring me divine health. Amen
